    DR. VINEETA PARMAR

     

    Dr. Vineeta Parmar has been associated with environmental protection and environmental education for more than fifteen years. She has higher education (PhD) in environmental science, research and work experience, and extensive experience in popular writing. Recently, stories depicting child psychology have been published such as ‘Ashvamedh Ka Ghoda’ (published in Pakhi), ‘Man Ki Rekh’ (published in Anviti), Rikt Sthan (published in Hans). Along with this, stories on nature and environment such as Translocate @ 82 cm, Dhoon, Tootti Rassiyan etc. have been published.
    Popular Books: Daughters of Sediment (Story Collection) from Rudraditya Publications, Prayagraj, ‘Tiger: Heritage and Concerns’ (Vani Publications, New Delhi), Fishes Shaking Their Necks (Vanika Publications, New Delhi) published with the contribution received from the Cabinet Secretariat (Official Language) Department, Government of Bihar; Doob Se Marham (Poetry Collection) from Bodhi Publications, Jaipur and “Dhappaa” (Memoir Collection) published from Rashmi Publications, Lucknow. The story ‘Ghosha’ was awarded the year-2020 Purvai Katha Samman and Daughters of Sediment (Story Collection) was awarded the Kamleshwar Smriti Kahani Samman. Daughters of Sediment (Story Collection) has been included in the list of Top 10 story collections of 2022 by Aaj Tak’s Sahitya Tak channel. ‘Tiger: Heritage and Concerns’ (Vani Publications, New Delhi) has been included in the list of Top 10 non-prose books of 2023 by Aaj Tak’s Sahitya Tak channel. Currently working as a science teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, she is also actively involved in writing.
